Josh Hosen Capital Testing

JOSH HOSEN

MANAGING DIRECTOR
A member of the Capital Testing team since 2011, Josh graduated with a B.S. ('08) and M.S. ('10) in Wood Science from Virginia Tech. Josh’s primary responsibilities include management and oversight of the company's quality management system, including ISO/IEC accreditations (17020, 17025, and 17065); management of certification programs; performance of on-site quality audits and inspector training at manufacturing facilities across North America; and supervision of the emissions testing laboratory. His previous work experience includes working as a field technician for another third party inspection company where he performed on-site quality control process inspections at manufacturing facilities both domestically and internationally.
Chris Palumbo Capital Testing

CHRIS PALUMBO

SR. MANAGER OF PRODUCT TESTING

Chris graduated from the University of Maryland’s Clark School of Engineering with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Chris began his career at Capital Testing as a Laboratory Technician working in the Fire Testing Labs. He is currently an active member of the ASTM E05 committee on fire standards. Chris’ responsibilities include coordinating and conducting fire tests along with maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment.  Chris is a member of the FRA's Rail Safety Advisory Committee (RSAC) and the FAA's International Aircraft Materials Fire Test Forum.

Christopher Kaiser Capital Testing

CHRISTOPHER KAISER

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN II - FIRE

Christopher graduated from the University of Maryland’s Clark School of Engineering with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Christopher's primary responsibilities include conducting fire, flammability and toxicity tests.  Christopher is the operator of Capital Testing's Steiner tunnel.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN I - CHEMIST
James graduated from Virginia Tech in 2021 with a B.S. in Nanoscience and a minor in Chemistry, concentrated in polymer science. His primary responsibilities include formaldehyde emissions testing, physical testing, and  certification management activities.
Patrick Dwyer Capital Testing

PATRICK DWYER 

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN I - FIRE/PHYSICAL
Patrick graduated from the University of Maryland’s Clark School of Engineering with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. He conducts testing in the physical properties and small-scale fire labs. Additionally, he works on research and implementation for new test standards as part of Capital Testing’s ongoing physical properties lab expansion.

LABORATORY TECHNICIAN I - SMALL SCALE FIRE

Victoria graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S in Materials Science and Engineering. Her primary responsibilities is conducting fire, flammability, and toxicity tests within the small-scale fire lab.
